Welcome to the Loving Hotstuff website and blog. This website is a tribute to Hotstuff and I hope it will be informative and cause us all to ask more questions when making choices about our pets' healthcare. As pet parents, we are their advocate and we must keep trying to bring awareness to all issues that could help to improve their lives.
My reason for this website, along with the Facebook page and other social media, is to honor Hotstuff and what he experienced by helping other pet parents become informed about what I was uninformed about at one time, namely surgery checklists and veterinarian licensure.
My mission is to make people aware of Hotstuff's struggle and eventual end of life because of his wrong side surgery; because by learning of his story, you will realize how very important it is for all veterinarians at Veterinary Teaching Hospitals to be licensed. I also want to share how very important it is for all Animal Hospitals to use a surgical checklist. As simple as it sounds, this could have changed everything for Hotstuff, and I hope it changes things for the better for all pets in the future.
RIP Hotstuff...you are the one who really drives this website.
